Following receipt of
this letter the 2nd
paragraph (words
previously on this site)
were both amended
and extended
(13.6.09) to
give those many
patients disappointed
by BUPA’s decision,
a fuller appraisal of
the facts.
Dr Dighton himself
remains a subscriber
to BUPA and has
always found their
service as a provider
to be one of the best
medical insurers in the
UK. He has always
regarded BUPA as
guardians of the
standards in UK
private practice. While
While appreciating their
Rules, he feels that his
long experience and
service to BUPA
subscribers (that has
never been the subject
of a complaint) lacks both
judgement and respect for
his knowledge and
track record of ability.
We live in an age where
rules are only rarely tempered
by judgement. The larger the
organisation the more likely
this is to be the case.
